Information skills are about more than just searching and finding. New media applications make it possible to do much more with information than before. Get acquainted with various state-of-the-art information applications to be used during your daily work in the library.

Participants will be introduced to a number of innovative media applications and garner insights into when and how to use these in a library environment and the skillsets required to function effectively in the 21stcentury information environment.

Target audience

This course is intended for modern library staff and information specialists who would like to learn new skills and offer the newest tools and applications to improve information services.


The ‘Innovative skills and techniques in the library’ course covers the following topics:  

Overview of the most useful techniques and tools and use in libraries:
